How does it work?
The Office Friendly Business Grant Scheme will make available an annual fund of up to £100,000, exclusively available for application by Office Friendly shareholder members. This fund is intended to be utilised to support the expansion and advancement of our member businesses. This is a ‘match-funded scheme’ – meaning that Office Friendly will contribute up to 50% of the funding needed (Up to a maximum of £5,000) to support our members in pursuing new developments, accelerating business growth and therefore strengthening the Office Friendly Community.
We’ve made up to £5,000 available for approved initiatives, with the shareholder member required to at least match fund the sum being contributed by the Office Friendly Business Grant Fund.
Here’s an example of how it works…
You want to create a new website and the quoted cost for the design and development is £10,000. If approved, Office Friendly would contribute £5,000 and you only therefore contribute £5,000 to the overall cost.
You want to purchase space planning software to develop your interiors business. With the cost amounting to £3,000 for the software, Office Friendly would contribute £1,500 and you only therefore contribute £1,500 to the overall cost.
You want to buy an electric van for your business to make zero-emission deliveries. The van costs £50,000, meaning Office Friendly would contribute £5,000 and you only therefore contribute £45,000 to the overall cost.

All grant applications are subject to review by the designated Office Friendly Grant Panel.
Applications require specific details linked to the organisation and business plan for which the grant is being sought. Within the business plan, it’s required for the member to demonstrate how the funds will both benefit their business and the Office Friendly community. A copy of the quotation for goods/work/services will need to be submitted with the application. Office Friendly cannot be involved in the advice or creation of the business plan being created by the member for their application.
Applications will be evaluated by the Office Friendly Grant Panel against a strict set of criteria to ensure fairness and equal evaluation. Extra information/questions may be requested/asked by the panel to validate the information submitted in the application.
There are two application windows in the financial year 2023/2024, applications must be submitted by 1st December 2023 or 1st June 2024.
